Avianca Cargo goes live on CargoAi

With Colombian carrier, Avianca Cargo, on board, CargoAi delivers on its 2022 expansion plans, securing its first footprint in South America.

Avianca Cargo has selected the world’s first and only Cloud-Native air cargo solutions provider, CargoAi, as one of its debut online marketplace partners. The airline, which is implementing an ambitious growth plan and aiming to expand its unique A330 freighter fleet capacity by up to 70% over the next two years, will hence be able to promote its services to the more than 6,500 freight forwarders across 105 countries who regularly use CargoAi’s marketplace, CargoMART.

“Avianca is firmly committed to strengthening its cargo business, and that includes an intense digitalization strategy. Avianca Cargo recently completed the implementation of our digital innovation partner, IBS Software’s unified air cargo management platform, iCargo. With iCargo as its digital foundation, this meant that the integration of our Marketplace and API Suite products was particularly quick and easy. We are beyond proud to be Avianca Cargo’s marketplace when it comes to delivering real-time capacity and booking opportunities to our international forwarder network, and look forward to being a key sales driver as our esteemed new airline partner continues to successfully expand.”
Matthieu Petot, CEO of CargoAi, explained.

CargoAi's CargoCONNECT, which includes rates, tracking, schedules, and booking APIs, enables fast and effective data transfer to all involved air cargo stakeholders, and significantly broadens the distribution and marketing horizon for cargo carriers. This, in turn, has a highly positive impact on revenues, reach, and cost reduction.

Avianca Cargo’s both freighter and PAX flights out of its Miami hub as well as passenger flights from Spain and UK will be accessible and bookable on CargoAi. Flights from other destinations across its network of more than 30 countries, will follow in a second step.
